As Design Lead for App Catalog at HP-Palm I was the principle driver of a unique and innovative approach to app shopping. Pivot was a monthly magazine which used editorial content to recommend and sell apps to HP TouchPad owners. HP contracted an outside design firm by the name of Science Project to produce the magazine content which was based on a UI framework that I designed. My team generated template-based page layouts that could then be turned into an entire issue and delivered on a monthly basis.
I was also responsible for defining the behavior and user experience of the magazine platform. This included behaviors like swiping to change pages, downloading new content and purchasing items in the magazine. Below are a few wireframes used to communicate those use cases and workflows.
